Want to Improve Your Golf Game?

Do you snore? Feel sleepy during the day? Have to drink cups and cups of coffee just to stay awake? Do you feel unfocused during your golf game?
If you answered yes to any of the above questions, you may suffer from sleep apnea. Sleep Apnea is sleep breathing disorder that is often undiagnosed, extremely detrimental to your health, and can even be fatal. Nobody ever thinks that the quality of your sleep could have anything to do with the quality of your golf game, but there’s new research that shows there is a definite link between the two. A recent study from the American College of Chest Physicians showed that golfers who suffered from obstructive sleep apnea and were treated for this condition improved their awareness, focus, and improved their golf scores! We all know that golf requires focus and concentration which a lack of quality sleep will effect. If you can’t think clearly, your game is on the line.
"More so than many sports, golf has a strong intellectual component, with on-course strategizing, focus and endurance being integral components to achieving good play," says Dr. Marc Benton, co-author of the study mentioned above. He also states that, "Obstructive sleep apnea can lead to daytime sleepiness, fatigue and cognitive impairment, all side effects which can negatively impact a person's ability to golf to the best of one's ability."
Dr Benton also estimates that 1 to 3 million golfers have Obstructive Sleep Apnea and are either untreated or undiagnosed. Are you one of them?
