Same Day Service

This morning we got to help out another one of our great guests. Our guest had fractured their tooth while eating and needed it fixed. Since a significant portion of the tooth was broken off and there was a large old filling with a cavity there, we recommended a bonded porcelain restoration to rebuild and strengthen the tooth. Porcelain is a great option because it looks so natural and is extremely durable and long lasting. By doing a bonded porcelain restoration, we were able to conserve all of her remaining healthy tooth structure versus a traditional crown. This process usually takes a minimum of two separate visits to the office. The greatest part of what we were able to do today is that we fitted, placed, and completed the porcelain restoration all today!

We have CEREC technology in our office that allows us to take a digital image of the tooth (so no messy impressions), design the desired result using computer software and then mill the exact piece of designed porcelain, all in the same visit. It didn't even take that much longer than a normal visit and while we were waiting for the milling of the porcelain, we actually completed more dental work that needed to be done! Our guest received a great looking, long lasting and healthy porcelain restoration and caught up with their dental care all in one visit. That means no temporary restoration to wear for a few weeks and no having to come back and spend more time at the office. We know that our guests are busy. The CEREC technology helps minimize the number of visits and time away from work, by giving us the ability to provide same day service. We can also use this technology for making strong and natural looking porcelain crowns in one visit as well. How cool is that!!
